The Role
As a member of the EMEA Talent Acquisition team focused on Corporate and Go-To-Market hiring, you will be instrumental in building and scaling Mistral's EMEA-based teams across both corporate functions and revenue-generating roles. Joining early means you'll help shape our recruitment strategy and operations, partnering closely with leaders across Corporate functions (Finance, Legal, People, Operations, Marketing, Communications) and GTM functions (Sales, Pre-Sales/Solutions, Partnerships, Customer Success, and Revenue Operations). Your work will directly influence Mistral's commercial and operational success by ensuring we find and engage exceptional operators who will drive Mistral's growth across the EMEA region. In this role, you'll also foster a strong candidate experience and help establish recruiting best practices as we expand across multiple EMEA markets.
What You Will Do
- Stakeholder Partnership
- Partner deeply with Corporate and GTM leaders — from CRO and VP Sales to Finance, Legal, and People leadership — to understand hiring needs, define role specs, and identify the right talent across multiple EMEA markets.
- Own full-cycle recruitment across Corporate and GTM functions: Sales, Finance, Legal, People/HR, Marketing, and Communications roles.
- Advise hiring managers on market mapping, leveling, comp positioning, and the competitive landscape for EMEA talent, accounting for local market nuances, benchmarking, and statutory differences across countries.
- Translate the nuances of each role into compelling, accurate, and locally relevant candidate outreach.
- End-to-End Recruitment
- Own the full recruiting lifecycle from sourcing to close, operating with autonomy on complex, high-volume roles across Corporate and GTM.
- Source passive and active candidates across EMEA talent pools, particularly in AI/ML, open-source software, enterprise infrastructure, and regional corporate markets.
- Conduct intake and calibration sessions with hiring managers to align on ideal candidate profiles and stage expectations.
- Drive efficient, high-conversion pipelines and close candidates in a fiercely competitive market for senior talent across multiple geographies and languages.
- Navigate cross-border hiring complexity, including relocation, remote-friendly offers, and country-specific employment frameworks.
- Candidate Experience & Selling Mistral
- Guide candidates through the hiring process with clear communication and a compelling narrative about Mistral's mission, culture, and trajectory.
- Articulate Mistral's positioning in the AI landscape — frontier models, open-weight philosophy, and enterprise credibility — to differentiate us against better-known competitors.
- Provide candidates with real insight into our GTM motion, corporate operations, growth plans, and the specific impact of their role.
- Deliver a high-quality, respectful candidate experience at every stage, regardless of outcome.
- Recruiting Operations & Data-Driven Improvement
- Develop and refine recruiting processes, tools, and documentation to improve outcomes and efficiency.
- Use data to diagnose pipeline issues (e.g., drop-off at specific stages, time-to-fill by role, offer acceptance rates) and propose targeted solutions.
- Build and maintain market maps, competitive intel, and talent pools for key EMEA Corporate and GTM segments.
- Standardize interview rubrics, scorecards, and debrief practices across EMEA hiring teams, while respecting local market and language differences.
- Raising the Bar
- Collaborate with Corporate and GTM leadership and the broader Talent team to continuously elevate our hiring standards.
- Contribute to defining and evolving our EMEA talent acquisition strategy as we scale from early team to a mature, multi-region organization.
- Partner on employer-brand and outbound sourcing initiatives that position Mistral as a destination for top Corporate and GTM talent in EMEA.
What We're Looking For
- 6+ years of recruiting experience, including 2+ years in a startup or high-growth B2B SaaS/infrastructure company, with a focus on Corporate functions and/or Sales/GTM roles.
- Demonstrated ability to independently hire across the full GTM stack — from Enterprise AE’s to GTM leadership — as well as key Corporate functions (Finance, Legal, People, Marketing, Operations).
- Deep network and sourcing expertise in EMEA talent markets, particularly in AI/ML, open-source, developer tools, or enterprise software.
- Track record of hiring in competitive, candidate-scarce markets where candidates have multiple offers, including cross-border and multi-language hiring.
- Experience working across multiple EMEA markets and comfort with country-specific comp, benefits, and employment nuance.
- Willingness to work on other roles as needs come up.
- Comfort navigating ambiguity and switching between strategic planning and hands‑on execution.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to influence peers and senior stakeholders without direct authority.
- Organized, detail-oriented, and able to juggle shifting priorities across a high-volume hiring slate spanning two function families.
- Professional experience with modern recruiting tools such as Ashby.
- Familiarity with the AI/ML landscape and the ability to credibly discuss frontier model capabilities with technical GTM and corporate candidates.
