Role Summary

We seek a talented and experienced software engineer to join our Knowledge and Search engineering team. You will design, implement, and scale our search capabilities to support our users and internal systems.

Reporting line: VP of Engineering

Location: Paris (France) or London (UK)

What you will do

Key Responsibilities

The Knowledge & Search team connects customers to the information they need. We are looking for an experienced engineer to lead our indexing and search capabilities. You will collaborate with data and infrastructure teams to build, maintain, and scale our search platform, ensuring high performance and reliability.

Your responsibilities include (but are not limited to):

• Building, maintaining, and enhancing fast, reliable, and scalable indexing and search capabilities (web and knowledge)
• Working with search-oriented databases to optimize and fine-tune full search pipelines from document ingestion to retrieval
• Owning our information retrieval systems for internal and enterprise customer needs
• Ensuring our search capabilities meet increasing customer demands
• Collaborating with stakeholders to improve search reliability, performance, and scalability across cloud-native and on-premise services

About you

• 7+ years of relevant professional experience
• Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field
• Experience building and scaling distributed search engine systems
• Proficiency in backend software development (Python, Go, C++, Rust, etc.)
• Solid knowledge of infrastructure management (Docker, K8s, Terraform, etc.)
• Good understanding of cloud-native ecosystems
• Autonomous, self-starter attitude
• Effective communication skills

It would be a plus if you have experience with:

• AI/ML engineering
• Infrastructure management (Docker, CI/CD, K8s, Helm, Terraform, etc.)
