You will be responsible for designing, implementing and scaling our search capabilities supporting the needs of our users and internal systems.Reporting line: VP of EngineeringLocation: Paris (France) or London (UK)Responsibilities Building, maintaining and enhancing a fast, reliable and scalable indexing and searching capabilities (web and knowledge)Working with search-oriented databases to optimise and fine-tune full search pipelines from document ingestion to retrievalOwning our information retrieval systems serving both our internal needs as well as our enterprise customersEnsuring that our search capabilities meet the increasing demands of our customersCollaborate with internal and external stakeholders to push the boundaries of search reliability, performance, and scale across cloud-native and on-premise servicesQualifications 7+ years of relevant professional work experienceMaster\’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology or a related fieldExperience building and scaling distributed search engine systemsExcellent proficiency in backend software development (Python, Go, C++, Rust…)Solid proficiency in infrastructure management (Docker, K8s, Terraform…)Good knowledge of cloud-native ecosystemsAutonomous and self-starterAbility to communicate with influenceNice to have AI/ML engineeringInfrastructure management (Docker, CI/CD, K8s, Helm, Terraform…)Location & Remote This role is primarily based at our HQ in Paris, France. We will prioritize candidates who either reside in Paris or are open to relocating. We value in-person collaboration for strong relationships and effective communication. Our remote work policy offers flexibility to enhance work-life balance and productivity. Remote days are determined by each manager based on autonomy and circumstances, with added flexibility during summer months.In certain cases, we will consider remote candidates based in one of the countries listed in this job posting (France, UK, Germany, Netherlands, Spain, Italy).
