Role Summary

We are seeking an experienced Product Marketing Engineer to be the voice of Mistral to the outside world, helping developers, AI teams, and product leaders understand how our platform can help them ship better AI products.

You’ll be Mistral’s first hire in that domain, building our technical marketing foundations and having a crucial impact on our ability to address technical audiences and topics during sales cycles.

This role sits at the intersection of engineering/science, product, product marketing, and developer relations.

What you will do

• Develop and implement marketing strategies to promote our AI platform and LLMs, creating compelling messaging that resonates with developers and businesses.
• Produce high-quality technical content such as blog posts, demos, whitepapers, case studies, and tutorials to educate and engage our target audience.
• Develop sales enablement materials like presentations, datasheets, and demo scripts to support the sales team.
• Lead technical enablement sessions for field teams, presenting and demonstrating our products’ value.
• Conduct market research to identify trends, the competitive landscape, and customer needs, informing product development and marketing strategies.
• Collaborate closely with engineering and product teams to translate technical features into clear, benefit-driven marketing materials, and earn trust with product management and sales teams to shape product strategy.

About You

• Technical background working on highly technical products (AI/ML, Data, etc.) as Solution Architect, Engineer, or Consultant (MLE or SWE background is a plus).
• Solid coding skills, especially in Python, to build demos.
• Experience as a Product Marketer or Manager on technical products, building PMF, GTM, positioning, and USPs.
• Understanding of complex sales cycles and strategies, with exposure to clients and technical audiences.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills, capable of translating complex technical concepts into clear, compelling messages.
• Experience working in cross-functional teams close to Solution Architects, Engineers, Sales, DevRel, and Marketing peers.
• Ability to thrive in a constantly changing and intense environment.
