As an AI Deployment Strategist, you will drive the adoption and deployment of Mistral’s AI solutions, working closely with customers from strategic vision to production implementation. This role sits at the intersection of business strategy, AI innovation, and hands-on deployment, ensuring customers achieve transformative outcomes. You will partner with senior executives to design AI roadmaps, collaborate with the Applied AI team to deliver production solutions, and ensure smooth transitions from pre-sales to post-sales.
This role targets industrial enterprises, where you’ll partner with R&D and engineering leaders to integrate AI into physics-based simulation workflows. You’ll navigate enterprise-grade security, compliance (ITAR/EAR/export controls), and strict data privacy/IP requirements. Success means enabling autonomous AI-driven simulations, accelerating time-to-market, and driving breakthroughs in product performance and innovation.
What You Will Do
- Strategic discovery & vision setting: Lead executive-level workshops to identify business challenges and opportunities where Mistral’s AI can drive step-change improvements. Co-create AI adoption roadmaps with customers, articulating the “art of the possible” and a clear path to value. Partner with Account Executives to develop business cases, quantify ROI, and align solutions with customer objectives.
- AI solution design & deployment: Architect end-to-end AI solutions, integrating Mistral’s models and platform into customer workflows and technical infrastructure. Partner with the Applied AI team to design, prototype, and deploy AI solutions in production, ensuring scalability and impact. Own pilots and proofs-of-value, demonstrating the technology’s potential and paving the way for full-scale deployments.
- Value realization & customer success: Serve as a trusted advisor, guiding customer AI strategy and ensuring maximum value from Mistral solutions. Monitor and communicate outcome-driven KPIs with executive sponsors. Proactively identify expansion opportunities within accounts, building on initial wins to drive long-term partnerships.
- Cross-functional collaboration: Act as the bridge between customers and Mistral’s internal teams, synthesizing feedback to influence product and research roadmaps. Create reusable assets, best practices, and playbooks to scale go-to-market efforts and ensure consistent delivery excellence. Travel (~30–60%) to foster deep client relationships and support on-site deployment.
Industry / vertical-specific responsibilities:
- Translate industrial engineering challenges into AI use cases.
- Design hybrid AI-physics pipelines and validate them against ground truth simulations.
- Navigate enterprise IT constraints: Work with customer security teams to deploy models in air-gapped environments, VPCs, or on-prem HPC clusters.
- Drive adoption with engineers: Conduct hands-on workshops to upskill teams on AI-assisted workflows.
What We're Looking For
- 2+ years in a client-facing strategic and technical role (e.g., data science consulting, value engineering, technical sales).
- Deep understanding of computational mechanics, numerical methods (FEM/CFD/DEM), or multi-physics simulation.
- Familiarity with industry tools (e.g., Ansys, COMSOL, OpenFOAM, SimScale, or custom solvers).
- Degree in a relevant scientific field (e.g., Computer Science, Data Science, Engineering).
- Solid foundations in AI/ML/Data Science, with the credibility to advise technical and non-technical audiences.
- Hands-on experience building and deploying AI applications (Python, JavaScript, or similar).
- Strong business acumen and structured problem-solving skills.
- Executive presence and strong communication skills (VP / C-level stakeholders).
- Resilient, results-driven, and comfortable leading through influence in a collaborative environment.
Nice to have:
- Experience with sales qualification frameworks (e.g., MEDDPICC).
- Experience with value-based selling.
- Prior experience in aerospace, automotive, or energy sectors.
