The role
- The main purpose of this job is to provide support to an authorised Certifying Officer (CO) in relation to the official activity of export health certification of Products Of Animal Origin (POAO) and animal by-products to EU and Non-EU Countries.
Responsibilities
- Gathering and providing verification evidence to a CO to enable the signing of Official Export Health Certificates (EHCs) or Support Health Attestations (SHAs) by the CO.
- Carrying out factual inspections and verification, collection of evidence and documentation (demonstrating verification has been personally attested by them), as specified by the supervising CO, for the directly related product and certificate.
- Acquainting with EHC requirements (Export Health Certification) and NFG (Notes for Guidance) for each export (for both EU and non-EU countries) in advance and keeping updated with new requirements and/or changes.
- Keeping in touch with the exporter and being able to build rapport with the customers and their representatives.
Skills/Qualifications Required
- Ideally, hold the OCQ(AHP) – CSO (Certification Support Officer) qualification. This is not essential as full training is provided.
- It will be highly valued if the candidate has previous experience on export certification and/or official control.
- UK or EEA citizen with right to work in the UK.
- Mistev EHC is able to sponsor prospective candidates that would need a visa to live and work in Great Britain.
- If the candidate does not have the OCQ(AHP) – CSO (Certification Support Officer) qualification, the minimum entry requirement for the CSO course is three \’A\’ levels, one of which must be in a science or food production subject.
