Due to business growth, the company is looking for prospective candidates to work as Export Official Veterinarians in different locations in Great Britain. Location: Although the advertised role is for Glasgow, we are looking for Export Official Veterinarians nationally (England, Scotland, Wales).
The main purpose of this job is to provide veterinary certification of exports and support attestations of Products of Animal Origin (POAO) to EU and Non-EU Countries.
Responsibilities:
- Acquainting with EHC requirements (Export Health Certification) and NFG (Notes for Guidance) for each export (for both EU and non‑EU countries) in advance and keeping updated with new requirements and/or changes.
- Attending export locations (slaughterhouses, cutting plants, cold stores; meat and meat products establishments, retailers) to carry out export certification on‑site to the highest standard.
- Accomplishing the best service on the market in accordance with the 10 Principles of Certification (RCVS).
- Keeping in touch with the exporter for the eventual required amendments.
- Be able to build rapport with the customers and their representatives.
Skills/Qualifications Required And Requisites:
- Veterinary medicine degree.
- Full membership of The Royal College of Veterinary Surgeons or ability to obtain it.
- Ideally, hold the OCQ(V) - EX (Exports General) and OCQ(V) - PX (Product Exports) qualifications. This is not essential as full training is provided.
- It will be highly valued if the candidate has previous experience in export certification and official control.
- UK or EEA citizens with right to work in the UK.
- In addition, Mistev Export Health Certification Ltd. can sponsor prospective candidates who would need a visa to live and work in Great Britain.
