Consultant / Junior Consultant / Early-stage Public Relations Role - B2B Technology
Missive is looking for PR people early in their career who want to succeed in B2B technology communications.
These roles are for people who are genuinely interested in the technology sector, has strong writing instincts, and is excited by the idea of speaking to journalists on the phone every day.
You do not need PR experience, but you do need to be curious, resilient and ready to learn quickly.
You’ll work across a portfolio of B2B technology clients, including AI, telco fintech and Saa S businesses, helping them reach potential customers, investors, opinion formers, future talent and the media.
This is a hands‑on PR role.
That means writing, researching, pitching stories, speaking to journalists, tracking the news agenda, supporting busy account teams and learning how to deliver strong media results for clients.
- What you’ll be doing
- Staying on top of communications industry trends and developments
- Researching media, companies, sectors, competitors and trends
- Building your own contact book of relevant journalists and opinion formers
- Picking up the phone and speaking to journalists regularly to secure press coverage
- Drafting press releases, pitches, briefing notes, commentary and other client materials
- Becoming an expert in social and digital communications
- Monitoring the news agenda and spotting relevant opportunities for clients
- Supporting client reporting
- Joining regular brainstorms to support creative campaigns
- Helping account teams stay organised and deliver work to a high standard
- Supporting business development and wider agency projects where needed
- Attending occasional evening events, media meetings and client entertainment

Previous PR, journalism or office experience is useful, but not essential.
What matters most is that you can show us you care about technology, can write well, and understand what a career in PR involves.
Working pattern
While the role is office‑based in London, we currently support hybrid working, with staff spending at least two days a week in the office.
There will also be occasional evening events, journalist meetings and client entertainment.
You must have the right to work in the UK. We are not able to provide visa sponsorship for this role.
