We are currently hiring a Designer to be UK based on behalf of a trusted employer. This is an excellent opportunity for candidates seeking a role within a corporate construction business. Mission Resourcing is excited to be supporting our client — a rapidly growing specialist contractor within the construction and façade sector — in their search for a talented Designer to join their expanding team. This is a full-time, predominantly remote role, with occasional travel to project sites, head office, or factory locations as required.

The Designer will play a key part in producing high-quality technical designs for windows, doors, curtain walling, cladding, glazing, SFS, and architectural metalwork.
Key Responsibilities- Develop detailed 2D and 3D façade design drawings
- Produce GA drawings, fixing details, setting-out plans and material specifications
- Create fabrication drawings and procurement schedules for manufacturing
- Review contract documentation and collaborate with estimating, commercial and project management teams
- Coordinate with architects, structural engineers, consultants and internal teams
- Prepare technical submittals and compliance documentation
- Attend internal and external design reviews, recording actions and updates
- Provide technical support during the installation phase and assist with site queries
- Maintain accurate records, approval logs, RFIs and revision control
- Degree or recognised qualification in Architecture, Engineering, or similar
- Proven experience in construction (cladding, glazing, curtain walling, rainscreen etc.) on UK projects
- Proficiency in AutoCAD
- Good understanding of UK Building Regulations and façade performance standards
- Strong technical design knowledge and understanding of construction methods
- Excellent communication, organisation and problem-solving skills
- Ability to manage workload and meet deadlines
- Knowledge of thermal, acoustic or fire performance in façade design
- Experience using 3D modelling software such as Revit, SolidWorks or Inventor
- BIM experience
- Salary from £40,000 (dependant on experience)
- Full remote working, with IT equipment provided
