Mission Possible Partnership has an exciting opportunity for a motivated and organised Communications Associate to join our in-house Global Advocacy team. We’re looking for someone with some communications and press office experience who is ready to build their career and help us shape compelling stories, elevate our voice and drive real-world impact. About the Role
This individual will play a vital role in ensuring our communications function runs smoothly, effectively and drives impact. It will support multiple programmes, incorporating media relations activities across our flagship thought leadership and global campaign, while keeping our organisation informed and helping the team respond to the diverse needs of our work. You’ll work efficiently and ensure nothing falls through the cracks.
Everyone in the team is involved in translating complex or technical concepts into simpler language and accessible content for multiple audiences. Fluency in English is required. Attributes such as persistence, creativity and critical thinking will be an asset, along with attention to detail and strong organisational skills. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Press office
- Media relations working alongside our PR agency and in-house team
- Copywriting support as needed
- Monitor media and social media engagement; keep colleagues informed about topical and emerging issues; prepare quarterly reports for stakeholders, including the Board, Leadership Council, and ITA co-chairs
- Digital & brand communications
- Manage and update website content, ensuring accuracy and alignment with brand guidelines
- Track and report analytics to inform our broader strategy
- Work with our social media agency to strengthen the impact of our social content. This may involve developing paid social media campaigns, development of video content or other forms of content in collaboration with other members of the team
- Support the use of assets across departments, championing brand rollout and compliance
- Communications planning and delivery support for in-person events and major global moments
- Engagement with key stakeholder groups to support advocacy drive, including presentations, online updates and the creation of digital communications toolkits
- Manage incoming requests
- Create and refine systems to improve efficiency, workflow and access to communications resources, such as image banks, reports, messaging and statements
- Provide tactical support, such as hiring photographers, designers, documenting events and meetings, and coordinating with the accounts team
- Organisational visibility
- Coordinate the distribution of key updates and materials across the organisation, including media coverage and analytics
- Maintain up-to-date information on internal platforms, ensuring colleagues have timely access to communications resources
- Support internal events, workshops, and information sessions led by the communications team
Experience & background
- At least three to four years' experience in communications or public relations, or a related field ideally within the NGO, non-profit, or international sector
- Experience of press office activities and media relations.
- Familiarity with international English language media
- Demonstrated ability to coordinate or support social media activity, including scheduling, monitoring and collaborating with agencies or partners
- Advantageous
- Experience of working with diverse, international teams
- Experience within heavy industry/clean energy sectors
- Familiarity with website content management systems (such as WordPress), email marketing tools (such as Mailchimp), and CRM software
- Experience with analytics tracking and reporting to inform content strategy
- Proficiency in using digital tools for analytics and workflow coordination e.g. Google Analytics, CRM systems
- Excellent organisational skills, with the ability to manage multiple tasks, track deadlines, and maintain accurate records
- Ability to reason and communicate ideas clearly in written form
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy in all communications
- Creative thinker with persistence and critical thinking skills
- Collaborative team player with strong interpersonal and relationship management abilities
- Comfortable operating in a dynamic, evolving organisation and adapting to changing priorities
- Ability to support administrative processes, such as event documentation, supplier setup, and invoicing, as needed
- Exposure to working with diverse, international teams is advantageous
