HR Manager – Rudy’s Pizza Napoletana

Location: Mission Mars Support Centre, Manchester. Office based with UK-wide travel (1 day working from home)

Salary: £38,000 – £40,000 (dependent on experience) + up to 30% bonus

Contract: Full time

About Rudy's: Rudy's Pizza Napoletana is one of the UK's fastest growing pizza brands, bringing authentic, AVPN-certified Neapolitan pizza to guests across the country. From our first pizzeria in Manchester's Ancoats, we've grown to 40 pizzerias nationwide, 1000 colleagues – with ambitious growth plans for UK expansion. Behind the dough, the passion and the pace of growth is the Mission Mars and Rudy’s People & Culture team that genuinely cares about our people. As we scale, we're looking for a HR Manager to strengthen the Rudy’s team. This is a role with clear career development opportunities.

The Role: As HR Manager, you’ll own employee relations for Rudy’s across the UK – driving fair, consistent case outcomes, building manager capability, and championing the wellbeing of our teams. You’ll be the trusted voice managers turn to for honest, practical advice, and a key link between the pizzerias and the wider People & Culture team.

What You'll Be Doing:

  • Own end-to-end employee relations casework, coaching and advising Operations Managers to ensure fair, consistent and legally sound outcomes
  • Design and maintain Manager HR toolkits, resources and guidance to build manager capability and confidence across the estate
  • Own the absence management framework, supporting managers with return-to-work planning and wellbeing conversations
  • Lead the delivery of performance management processes across pizzerias, from informal coaching through to formal action
  • Act as a trusted, confidential sounding board for Operations Managers navigating people challenges
  • Partner with the wider People & Culture team to shape and deliver key initiatives that support Rudy's growth and culture

What We're Looking For:

  • Must have proven experience owning an ER caseload independently, ideally gained in a multi-site environment
  • Must be experienced leading disciplinary and grievance processes end-to-end, with confident, practical knowledge of UK employment law
  • CIPD Level 5 (or working towards) desirable; equivalent hands‑on ER experience will also be considered
  • Must be a strong communicator and influencer at all levels, from Operations Managers through to senior stakeholders
  • A natural coach – able to build manager capability across a growing estate, not just handle cases directly
  • Comfortable working autonomously and travelling regularly to sites across the UK
  • A full UK driving licence, and willingness to travel

Location & Travel: This role is based at our Manchester Support Centre, with the flexibility to work from home on Fridays. Regular UK-wide travel to pizzerias is a core part of the role, so a full driving licence is required.

What’s In It For You:

  • Competitive salary + bonus scheme of up to 30% per annum (paid quarterly)
  • Access to Medicash – a cashback plan on every day medical treatments + access to a 24/7 virtual GP
  • Gym membership contribution
  • Pension scheme and loyalty bonuses
  • Additional holiday allowance for birthdays and length of service
  • 50% discount on food & drink at all Mission Mars venues
  • Free or discounted tickets to gigs and events at Albert Hall
  • Wellbeing support & employee assistance programmes
  • A vibrant, collaborative office culture with regular socials and events
  • Real opportunities for growth in a fast-growing, ambitious business
