At Schiller’s Hall, where continental food and drink meet easy-going charm, we’re looking for a talented Sous Chef to join our kitchen team in Liverpool. Inspired by our travels across Europe — from Bohemia to Bavaria, bustling city bistros to vibrant beer halls — Schiller’s Hall is our neighbourhood take on a modern continental dining experience. Our menu brings together grazing small plates, Alpine comfort dishes, beer hall favourites, lighter bites, and one of the city's most talked-about Sunday roasts. This is a brilliant opportunity for an experienced Sous Chef who thrives in a fresh-food environment and is ready to play a key role in shaping an exciting new chapter for one of Liverpool's most iconic hospitality spaces.

What you’ll be doing

  • As Sous Chef, you'll be a key leader in the kitchen, working closely with the Head Chef to deliver exceptional food and memorable guest experiences every day.
  • You’ll help drive standards across the kitchen, support and develop the team, and ensure service runs smoothly from preparation through to the busiest shifts.
  • From leading service and maintaining consistency to coaching junior chefs and helping manage kitchen operations, you’ll play a vital role in building a motivated, high-performing team while ensuring quality, safety and profitability are always at the forefront.
