WANTED: A Deputy Manager Who Can Run a Restaurant, Lead a Team & Maybe Even Eat Pizza While Doing It

Salary: £35,000 per year + tronc + up to 32% bonus paid quarterly

Bristol… we’re here, and we’re looking for an incredible Deputy Manager to join our lively Rudy’s Famiglia. If you’re passionate about people, thrive in fast-paced restaurants, and love the idea of leading a buzzing pizzeria serving proper Neapolitan pizza — this could be your next move.

About Rudy’s: Born in Manchester in 2015, Rudy’s started with one simple belief: Experience is great. Passion is everything. Fresh dough made daily. The finest Italian ingredients. Pizza cooked in just 60 seconds. Perfetto. Since then, we’ve grown across the UK while staying true to what matters most: incredible pizza, brilliant people, and creating unforgettable experiences for every guest who walks through our doors.

What You’ll Be Doing: As Deputy Manager, you’ll be at the heart of the action — leading from the front, owning the floor, supporting your team and helping drive the success of the restaurant alongside the General Manager. This is the perfect role for an ambitious hospitality leader ready to take the next big step. You’ll be responsible for:

  • Leading energetic, motivated shifts in a fast-paced restaurant
  • Creating a brilliant atmosphere for both guests and team members
  • Coaching, developing and inspiring your team to be their very best
  • Supporting recruitment, training and team development
  • Driving exceptional guest experience every single day
  • Managing labour, stock, rota planning and restaurant performance
  • Understanding and working with KPIs, budgets and P&L
  • Maintaining high operational and food safety standards
  • Being a role model for Rudy’s culture, energy and values
  • Supporting the General Manager in delivering a successful, high-performing site

What We’re Looking For: We’re looking for someone with energy, personality and leadership skills who’s ready to make their mark. We're also looking for:

  • Experience in a management role within a fast-paced hospitality environment
  • A proven ability to lead and motivate a team
  • Confidence managing busy services and high-volume operations
  • Experience working with budgets, labour and P&L
  • A genuine passion for food, hospitality and guest experience
  • A hands‑on approach — you lead from the floor, not the office
  • A drive to learn, grow and develop your career
  • Big energy and the ability to bring people with you

Most importantly, you’ll love creating memorable experiences and building teams that people genuinely want to be part of.

What You’ll Get From Us: We take care of our people — because great teams build great restaurants. Here’s what’s on the menu:

  • Competitive salary + tronc + up to 32% quarterly bonus
  • Work for a “World Class” business, voted by Best Companies 2024
  • Huge development opportunities and in-house training programmes
  • Clear career progression pathways
  • Loyalty bonus scheme
  • Pack your passport for our worldwide research trips to places like Naples & Amsterdam!
  • 50% discount on food & drink across all Rudy’s sites for family & friends dining together
  • Complimentary food & drink on shift
  • Free guestlist entry to Albert Hall, Manchester
  • Summer BBQs & Festa di Natale celebrations
  • Birthday card & gift from us to you
