We’re looking for an Assistant Management Accountant to join our Finance team supporting both The Wilmslow Hospital and The Christie Private Care. You’ll be part of a collaborative and high performing team, working across two well established sites and engaging closely with senior leadership teams and playing a visible role in the day-to-day commercial operations of the hospital. This is a role where your work will be seen, valued and directly contribute to how the hospitals operate and grow. Working across these sites will give you a broader perspective and exposure to different areas of the business. You’ll be part of the wider finance team and SLT environment, gaining valuable insight into decision making at a senior level. This is an ideal opportunity for someone who is part qualified or looking to begin their ACCA or CIMA studies, with full support to help you progress. The role is designed to evolve as you develop, giving you the chance to build your technical skills, grow your commercial understanding and take ownership over time.

As an Assistant Management Accountant, you'll support the delivery of accurate financial information and play a key role in supporting operational and financial performance. Your work will be varied, with involvement across reporting, analysis and stakeholder engagement, creating a dynamic and rewarding experience.

What you’ll do

  • Support the preparation of accurate and timely monthly management accounts
  • Complete balance sheet reconciliations and investigate any variances
  • Work closely with operational teams and senior leaders to support day to day commercial activity
  • Contribute to month end processes and identify opportunities for improvement
  • Assist with budgeting and forecasting, including analysis and reporting

What you’ll bring

  • Part qualified ACCA or CIMA, or a strong desire to study with support
  • Previous experience supporting management accounts or in a similar finance role
  • Strong Excel skills and confidence working with financial systems
  • Excellent attention to detail with a proactive and curious mindset
  • A collaborative approach, with confidence engaging stakeholders at different levels
