Mission Essential is seeking a skilled and motivated Construction Surveillance Technician to support U.S. Department of Defense (DoD) operations in the United Kingdom. This is an exciting opportunity to play a critical role in safeguarding sensitive construction projects and supporting national security objectives abroad.
As a key member of our team, you will help ensure that construction and renovation activities meet strict security standards by identifying and mitigating potential threats. You’ll gain exposure to a variety of engineering disciplines and contribute directly to the security of U.S. Government assets overseas.
Key Responsibilities:- Develop working knowledge of various construction disciplines including civil, architectural, mechanical, electrical, and electronic engineering.
- Read and interpret architectural and engineering blueprints; analyze structural designs to detect any hidden or unintended features that may compromise security.
- Apply expertise in technical surveillance countermeasures (TSCM) and construction security principles to monitor and protect secure spaces.
- Implement and maintain compliance with ICD-705 security requirements throughout all phases of construction and renovation.
- Work closely with multidisciplinary teams to ensure construction integrity and adherence to classified security protocols.
- 3+ years of experience in construction security surveillance, technical surveillance countermeasures, or Industrial security, including construction quality assurance or hands-on supervisory construction.
- Current CST certification (include copy).
- 2+ years of experience with providing construction services overseas for the DoD.
- Ability to work holidays and weekends up to 60/hr weeks when required.
- Active TS/SCI security clearance.
- High school diploma or equivalent (GED).
- 5+ years of experience in construction.
- Completion of Department of State Construction Surveillance Technician Course SE631.
- Completion of U.S. Army Corps of Engineers Construction Training.
- SSM certification.
- ICD 705 certification.
