Mission Care has had the privilege of providing residential and nursing care to vulnerable adults in South London for over 110 years. Today we have five homes, four in the London Borough of Bromley, and one in Southwark and pride ourselves on providing exceptional person-centred care to all of our residents.
We now have exciting opportunities for Catering Assistants to join our team in one of our homes Willett House, working 26 hours per week.

Summary of duties:
As a Catering Assistant in one of our homes, you will play an important role in the care we provide to our residents. This role also provides the opportunity to interact with and assist our residents at meal times. Main duties include:
- Ensuring a high standard of hygiene when preparing food for residents
- Assisting with the preparation of meals and snacks for residents within the guidelines set by the kitchen team leader
- Assisting with food service by taking the food and beverage trolley to the dining areas of the home
- Participating in the cleaning, including washing up.
- Communicating positively with residents and relatives within the home, promoting Mission Care's ethos and values at all times
- Working collaboratively and as part of a team with all colleagues in order to maintain the high quality of catering in the home
- Assisting colleagues in their duties, where necessary, in order to deliver the best level of service
Skills required:
To be considered for this post, you must have the following:
- Awareness of HACCP (Hazard Analysis Critical Control Points)
- Familiarity with food hygiene
- Working in a care home environment, you will have a genuine passion and desire to work with the elderly and those living with dementia and will be person-centred in your approach to residents.
