We now have an exciting opportunity for Senior Care Assistants to join our incredible team at The Elms Care home. Summary of duties:
- Assisting residents with personal care activities such as washing, personal hygiene, dressing and assisting with meals.
- Contributing to residents care plans, with a demonstrable understanding of holistic care.
- Building effective relationships with relatives and next of kin in order to fully support the delivery of high-quality care to residents.
- Take a lead in assisting Clinical Staff in care planning and maintaining continuity of care.
- Demonstrate a clear understanding of SOVA.
- Provide day to day management and supervision of Care Assistants in order to ensure quality of care, planning and organising key aspects of a shift.
- Act as a link between Nurses and Carers to support the efficient running of the Home.
Skills required:
- Have previous experience working in a nursing home environment and an understanding of dementia and a NVQ level 2 in Health and Social Care, but above all, a positive and can-do attitude is essential.
