Mission Aviation Fellowship (MAF) is seeking an experienced and qualified Payroll and Finance Manager to lead our payroll, pensions and treasury functions, ensuring the delivery of accurate, compliant and efficient financial services that support our international operations. This is a fantastic opportunity for a finance leader to apply their expertise across a broad and varied remit, playing a vital role in strengthening the financial foundations of an organisation that brings practical help, physical healing and spiritual hope to some of the world's most remote and inaccessible communities.
Location: Folkestone, Kent or alternatively, Cranfield office Nr Milton Keynes (with hybrid working opportunities)
Rewards: Salary of £53,026 per annum, plus a generous pension scheme, annual leave entitlement, and other great benefits and professional growth opportunities
Contract: Permanent, full-time (36 hours per week) (part-time considered)
The Role: As Payroll and Finance Manager, you will manage our Finance Department with particular focus on our payroll, pensions and treasury functions, ensuring the delivery of accurate information to our staff in order to minimise risk and maximise efficiency. You will oversee payroll and pension services for UK and overseas staff, ensuring full compliance with PAYE, National Insurance and pension requirements, while providing guidance and support on payroll, tax and pension matters. You will also manage all banking and treasury functions, ensuring payments are properly authorised, and funds are managed and invested effectively.
- Ensure that overseas staff are on the correct tax (NT) code
- Make staff aware when they need to take independent financial advice
- Maintain the integrity of financial reporting, nominal ledger and costing structures
- Strengthen internal financial controls and monthly financial processes
- Manage and develop the Finance employees
