Finance Manager Mission Aviation Fellowship (MAF) is seeking a qualified and experienced Finance Manager to lead our core finance operations, ensuring strong financial management, effective controls and sound stewardship across the organisation. Location : This is a hybrid role based in our Folkestone Office, with the number of days spent in the office to be discussed and agreed with the successful candidate, taking into account the needs of the role Rewards : Salary of Β£53,026, plus a generous pension scheme, annual leave entitlement, and other great benefits and professional growth opportunities Contract : Permanent, full-time The Role As the Finance Manager, you will lead our core finance operations, overseeing the banking, treasury, payroll, pensions, financial systems and Finance Department. Managing banking and treasury activities, you will ensure sufficient funds are available, payments are properly authorised, and investments are managed in line with charity policies. You will also maintain the integrity of financial reporting, ledger and costing structures, internal controls and monthly processes, supporting the Finance Director with budgeting, reporting and year-end audit activity. Leading the Finance Department, you will oversee staff development and manage payroll and pension functions for UK and overseas employees, ensuring compliance with relevant requirements. Additionally, you will: - Manage domestic and foreign bank accounts and banking software - Act as the primary contact for banks, HMRC and relevant service providers - Monitor transactions and resolve banking queries and issues - Provide guidance on tax, National Insurance, payroll and pension matters. - Provide payroll reporting and analysis to HR and senior management About You To be considered as our Finance Manager, you will need: - A finance qualification - Proven experience in a management role, including people and financial management - Experience of charity accounting and SORP requirements - Proven experience of running payroll and pension functions - A proven track record of facilities management - Experience of Health and Safety - Proven experience of systems migration - To be educated to degree level or equivalent standard About Us Mission Aviation Fellowship (MAF) is a Christian organisation that uses light aircraft to deliver practical help, physical healing and spiritual hope to some of the worlds most remote and inaccessible communities.
