As we enter a significant period of organisational transformation and global integration, we are seeking an accomplished Head of Global Talent Acquisition to lead and evolve our worldwide recruitment strategy, workforce planning capability, and talent acquisition function. This is a rare opportunity to shape how a global mission organisation attracts, assesses, and appoints the people who will help us achieve our long-term vision to expand our impact to more than 5,000 isolated communities by 2045.
Reporting to the Chief People Officer and serving as a member of the People & Culture Leadership Team, the Head of Global Talent Acquisition will lead the development and implementation of MAF International’s global talent acquisition strategy. This role will be responsible for creating scalable, efficient, and mission-aligned recruitment practices that support organisational growth across multiple regions and cultures.
Working in close partnership with senior leaders in People & Culture (Centres of Expertise, People Operations and Partnering), Engagement Units, and Operational Units, you will ensure talent acquisition strategies are aligned with future workforce needs, organisational priorities, and local market realities. Please note: Candidates must hold existing legal working rights for their proposed location of employment.
Salary: Competitive and flexible, with remuneration aligned to the successful candidate’s location, experience, and local employment context.
Responsibilities
What You’ll Be Doing
- Leading the design and delivery of a world-class global talent acquisition operating model.
- Developing a compelling Employee Value Proposition (EVP) that reflects MAF’s mission, culture, and purpose.
- Building innovative global attraction and sourcing strategies, using digital platforms, AI, networks, faith-based networks, social media, and targeted campaigns to connect with exceptional candidates worldwide.
- Leading strategic workforce planning, partnering with leaders across regions to forecast future talent needs and build proactive resourcing pipelines.
- Elevating assessment and selection practices through best-practice methods that are fair, inclusive, objective, and designed to identify both capability and mission fit.
- Co-creating strong onboarding frameworks that help new team members thrive from day one.
- Designing, leading, coaching, and growing a high-performing global Talent Acquisition team.
- Leveraging our ATS system, analytics, technology, and data insights to improve hiring effectiveness, candidate experience, and decision making.
- Championing a culture rooted in servant leadership, integrity, collaboration, and faith.

About You
You are a strategic and commercially minded talent acquisition leader with significant experience operating within complex, international environments. You bring strong expertise in recruitment strategy, workforce planning, sourcing methodologies, assessment frameworks, and talent operations, combined with the leadership capability to influence across cultures, functions, and geographies.
You will bring:
- Significant senior leadership experience in Talent Acquisition, ideally within an international, nonprofit, faith-based, or mission-driven environment.
- Proven expertise in global recruitment strategy, workforce planning, sourcing methodologies, and talent operations.
- Strong leadership experience developing and leading high-performing, geographically dispersed teams.
- Deep understanding of HR technology, applicant tracking systems, recruitment analytics, and digital talent solutions.
- Demonstrated commitment to inclusive, equitable, and objective recruitment practices.
- Strong stakeholder engagement, influencing, and change leadership capability.
- Excellent strategic thinking, organisational agility, and project leadership skills.
