We are seeking a motivated person who would be interested in training to become a Trainee Acoustic Consultant to join a busy engineering and design department in the Hertford head office. This is an excellent opportunity for a graduate or someone early in their professional career, looking to start in an ever-growing Acoustics industry specialising in noise and vibration control.
The role is primarily office-based, supporting senior engineers with technical analysis and design work, but will also include opportunities for site visits and travel throughout the UK. Full training will be given.
Responsibilities- Assisting with acoustic data input, analysis, and calculations
- Supporting the design of noise control and acoustic solutions
- Preparing estimates, technical documentation, and reports
- Assisting with project coordination and contracting activities
- Working closely with senior engineers and the wider design team
- Occasional site visits and travel within the UK as required
- Educated to at least A-Level standard (or equivalent)
- Interest in acoustics, noise control, or engineering (You may have a GCSE in music)
- Good numerical, scientific, and analytical skills with at least a B GCSE maths
- Basic computing skills (e.g. Excel, Word; CAD experience advantageous but not essential)
- Full UK driving licence preferred
- Willingness to learn, show initiative, and develop professionally
Previous experience is not essential, as full training will be provided.
