As a core member of the finance department, you will ensure the smooth, day-to-day operation of financial functions by managing transactional processing, essential reconciliations, and administrative duties. This varied role also offers exposure to broader finance areas, where you will oversee recurring billing activities and partner closely with credit control to maintain robust financial health. Key Responsibilities:- Check that valuation invoices match customer orders.
- Manage recurring invoices and process them on time, including chasing purchase orders and updating older cases.
- Work with Account Managers to resolve recurring invoice queries.
- Support the Customer Success Team with credits, re-raises, and recurring invoice adjustments.
- Handle customer billing queries and resolve disputes quickly.
- Help with month-end tasks.
- Keep financial records and audit trails accurate.
- Process the monthly Direct Debit run.
- Carry out regular bank reconciliations.
- Process employee expense claims.
- Support credit control when needed.
- A background working within a Finance team, with a genuine desire to develop your career and a view to pursuing an AAT qualification.
- Strong numerical skills and a keen eye for detail to ensure "right first time" results.
- Confidence using billing/finance systems and proficiency in Excel or similar data tools.
- A proven ability to manage a busy workload, stay organised, and adapt quickly when priorities shift.
- The confidence to identify issues early and the judgment to resolve or escalate them effectively.
