My client, a well-established tour operator based in North London, are looking for an experienced field sales executive to join their team. This role is split between field-based sales and working from home. Ideally this would be 3-4 days on the road and 1-2 days (maximum) at home. You will be responsible for managing and expanding the trade business through boosting sales and forging strong relationships with clients. Within your geographical area (Suffolk, Norfolk, Essex, Cambridgeshire) you will be the front of the company and will have the dedication to create and apply an effective sales strategy.
Key Responsibilities:
- Targeted Sales & Marketing: Arrange meetings with potential clients while promoting products and services. Anticipate their goals and tailor solutions for maximum impact.
- Data-Driven Optimisation: Analyse business data to identify areas for improvement, ensuring resources are directed towards the most profitable opportunities.
- Expert Support: Provide reliable feedback and exceptional after-sales support, building trust and confidence.
- Long-Term Focus: Cultivate lasting relationships with new and existing clients through ongoing communication and personalised service.
- Client Engagement: Organise and host exclusive events like client appreciation gatherings and FAM trips (Familiarisation trips) to build loyalty and showcase offerings in an immersive way.
- Knowledge Sharing: Conduct training sessions within travel agencies and virtually (webinars) to equip them with the latest travel trends.
- Event Participation: Attend client events when necessary to strengthen connections and brand awareness.
The successful candidate will have:
- Proven working experience as a business development manager or sales executive within the travel industry.
- Proven record of hitting and exceeding sales targets.
- IT Literate including all Microsoft applications such as Word, Outlook & Excel.
- Excellent communication and organisational skills.
- A βcan doβ attitude with a positive, patient, and assertive nature.
