Do you have trade counter, warehouse or yard experience? This role could be the one for you. The client is an established agricultural merchant based in a rural location between Bishops Stortford and Harlow. You will need your own transport to get there.

We are looking for a Yard Manager/Warehouse Manager to look after the warehouse, trade counter and dispatch for the company. Monday to Friday, 7.30 am to 4.30 pm, with some seasonality with later or earlier finishes, but 40 hours a week on average throughout the year.

£30,000 to £35,000 per annum + share incentive bonus scheme + private medical + 25 days holidays + pension.

On a day to day basis you will:

  • Run the warehouse - 60% of your day will be hands on
  • Unloading deliveries
  • Reporting any short or incorrect deliveries on the system
  • Picking and packing orders for delivery
  • Keeping the warehouse clean and tidy
  • Supervising the other warehouse operative/driver

35% of your time will be spent on other duties:

  • Updating the warehouse management system
  • Route planning for deliveries
  • Preparing customer orders for collection
  • Liaising with other departments to resolve queries

5% of your time will be spent helping customers face to face:

  • Loading collections to customer's vehicle
  • Advising on products
  • Putting sales onto the system

This is a varied and busy role, and will suit someone who is happy being hands on and who has good IT skills. As the company is in a rural location you will need your own transport. If this sounds like your next challenge please apply today!
