This is an incredible opportunity for someone passionate about a career in accountancy, offering a clear path to becoming a chartered accountant with a fully funded study package to support your journey.
This role is perfect for a dedicated individual who has already completed their AAT Level 3 or 4 and is now looking for a firm that will invest in their future.
What the Role Involves:
As a Trainee Accountant, you'll gain hands-on experience across a variety of responsibilities, splitting your time between audits and accounts.
- Audit (80%): You will be a key part of our audit team, conducting audits at client sites across Hertfordshire, London, and neighbouring counties. This requires you to be confident, presentable, and comfortable interacting directly with clients. Due to client location and meeting times, you may sometimes be required to start earlier than 9 am to travel to the site.
- Accounts (20%): On the accounts side, you will be responsible for preparing accounts, completing tax returns, and filing records with Companies House. This is a great opportunity to build your technical skills and a solid understanding of financial processes.
What we’re looking for:
- Experience: You must have experience working in an account’s environment.
- AAT Level 3 or 4: You must be currently studying AAT Level 4 or have completed your AAT Level 3 or 4.
- Double-Entry Bookkeeping: A strong understanding of double-entry bookkeeping is essential.
- Willingness to Learn: You must be eager to learn and committed to your professional development.
- Client-Facing Skills: You should be confident, professional, and comfortable working with clients on-site.
- Driving Licence (Desired): A full UK driving licence is a bonus, but not a requirement.
The Benefits:
- Fully Funded Study Package: This role includes full funding for your chartered accountancy qualification. You will be required to attend college one day a week, with the choice of attending in either Cambridge or London.
- Paid Travel: All travel for client meetings will be covered.
- On-Site Parking: Free on-site parking is available.
- Company Events: Regular company events to celebrate the company’s hard work.
