Female Crisis House Team Leader – Swindon (Full-time, Permanent)
We have an opportunity for a Female Crisis House Team Leader to join our Mental Health Service in Swindon, within the Bath & North East Somerset and Swindon and Wiltshire (BSW) region. The role is based in Swindon, full-time permanent, 37.5 hours per week, rotating shifts Monday to Sunday, including days, evenings and sleep‑ins.
Salary: £29,289 rising to £30,927 after 6‑month probation plus £70 for sleep‑ins. About The Role
As part of the new Mental Health Framework and the Mental Health and Wellbeing Partnership, you will work with primary and secondary care partners. You will provide person‑centred support to women experiencing mental health crises.
Key Duties and Responsibilities
- Assist the Service Manager with staffing hours and staff rota to ensure safe staffing levels.
- Provide support and guidance to staff to ensure guests receive safe, high‑quality care.
- Deliver person‑centred support, collaboratively developing and reviewing care plans focused on recovery and personal goals.
- Work inclusively and equitably with all service users, ensuring cultural sensitivity, challenging stigma, and advocating where needed.
- Monitor mental health, ensuring timely intervention, engaging with multidisciplinary teams, and offering harm‑minimisation support.
- Assist in crisis management, responding to emergency situations with calm, professional intervention.
- Promote coping mechanisms and self‑management strategies encouraging independence and resilience.
- Work within a recovery and psychologically informed approach, supporting women to maximise safety, independence and wellbeing.
- Liaise effectively with agencies and community groups.
- Take part in assessment of women referred to the service, including gathering additional information from supporting agencies.
- Build trust and rapport by utilising personal lived experience to provide emotional and practical support.

- Full driving licence (including business use) and access to transport.
