We are looking for a creative and enthusiastic Embroidery Design Assistant to join our Couture Atelier. This is an excellent opportunity for a designer with a passion for luxury fashion to work across luxury embroidery and technical artwork.

You'll work closely with the lead designer, assisting with the development of embroidery artwork from initial concepts through to production-ready files. This role offers excellent opportunities to further develop your creative and technical skills.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist in the creation and development of embroidery and embellishment artwork.
  • Produce clean technical drawings and artwork using Adobe Illustrator.
  • Support the preparation of embroidery layouts and motifs.
  • Digitally colour and edit artwork in Adobe Photoshop.
  • Research seasonal trends, fabrics, colours, and embellishment techniques.
  • Create mood boards and presentation documents.
  • Prepare artwork for client presentations and production.
  • Help organise design files, samples, and studio materials.
  • Support the wider design team with day-to-day creative tasks.

What We're Looking For

  • Essential
    • Degree in Fashion, Textile Design, Surface Pattern, Embroidery, or a related discipline.
    • Strong hand-drawing and illustration skills.
    • Good working knowledge of Adobe Illustrator and Adobe Photoshop.
    • A genuine passion for embroidery, embellishment, and luxury fashion.
    • Excellent attention to detail with a strong eye for colour, composition, and design.
    • Positive attitude with a willingness to learn and receive feedback.
    • Strong organisational and time management skills.
    • Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a small team.
  • Desirable
    • Understanding of garment construction and fashion design.
    • Knowledge of embroidery techniques, beading, or embellishment.
    • Experience preparing artwork for embroidery production.
