As part of the assessment programme, shortlisted candidates will be invited to participate in an assessed week of paid work experience from Monday 16th February – Friday 20th February 2026.
Overview
The Mishcon Solicitor Apprenticeship is a six year programme. You will gain an LLB (Hons) in Legal Practice from The University of Law and at the end of the programme you will qualify as a solicitor. All of your tuition fees will be paid and you will earn a salary while you train and gain your qualification. You will be based in our London office, working with leading lawyers across six departments (Corporate; Dispute Resolution; Employment; Innovation; Private; Real Estate). During the first four years you will complete four annual rotations; in the final two years you will join the graduate trainees and complete four six-month rotations. Throughout the six years you will be working four days per week and spend one day studying with The University of Law.
Qualification
This apprenticeship will take six years to complete; after four years you will have obtained an LLB. In the fifth and sixth year you will complete your Solicitors Qualifying Exams (SQE).
Academic and competency training is provided by The University of Law. The ULaw solicitor apprenticeship programme aims to equip apprentices with a thorough understanding of core legal subjects and practical application. ULaw assessments may lead to an LLB in Legal Practice and Skills (Hons) from ULaw. ULaw works with employers to develop skills in the workplace throughout the programme.
The University of Law is a leading provider of legal education with a long history and strong national reputation.
Future Prospects
By the end of the apprenticeship, subject to satisfactory character and suitability, you will be a fully qualified solicitor and registered with the Solicitors Regulatory Authority (SRA). You will then be invited to apply and interview for a permanent Associate Solicitor role in your preferred practice area.
Support
During the Apprenticeship Programme you will receive support and guidance to help you reach your potential. You will be assigned a supervisor in each seat, and the Early Careers Team will support you from application through to qualification. You will also be paired with a Buddy (a current Apprentice) and a mentor (a senior Solicitor) to guide you through the programme. The in-house Academy provides additional training to develop commercial skills.
