The Department
Risk and Compliance work in collaboration with the business to ensure best practice across the Firm, effectively managing all aspects of the regulation surrounding the efficient running of our Firm.
We are looking for someone with high attention to detail who prides themselves on providing an excellent service.
The role will involve working with key internal stakeholders in a fast‑paced environment, so managing your time and the expectations of others is paramount.
You will be joining a hardworking and fun team, who work together to provide a high level of service to the Firm and its clients.
This role will predominately support the General Counsel team and work closely with the Compliance Executive and Executive Assistant.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Updating and maintaining our internal claims and complaints schedules
- Creating various reports based on our claims and complaints schedules
- Investigating complaints and preparing initial responses
- Ensuring that all Court deadlines are met
- Managing external deadlines
- Supporting with file audits and reviews
- Preparing and reviewing documents and bundles
- Processing payment requests
- Supporting general compliance workflows in our busy General Counsel team
- Maintaining confidentiality in respect of those matters which are commercially sensitive
- Liaising with other departments where required
- Working under pressure to meet deadlines
- Acting as a key member of the team to support GDPR‑related matters and processes, including Data Subject Access Requests
- Becoming an 'internal expert' at using our systems and software to manage the above processes
Skills and Experience
- Excellent attention to detail
- Excellent organisational skills
- Ideally knowledge of Intapp and experience working within a Risk function
- Ability to effectively manage own workload
- Ability to communicate effectively with people at all levels
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Personable and confident, able to build relationships with partners/key stakeholders
- Resilient and calm under pressure
- Adaptable and flexible approach
- Pro‑active and takes initiative
- Proficiency in MS Packages including Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook and Internet Explorer
- Experience with Document Management Systems and Relativity
- Experience with Power BI or other reporting tools
