Duties and ResponsibilitiesThe Associate position will work within the Corporate Transactions and Advisory team. The successful candidate will work on a wide range of UK and cross border corporate finance transactions. The practice covers a broad spread of areas including equity capital markets, general corporate, public and private M&A and joint ventures.
The successful candidate will be committed to developing their career within corporate law and will be able to demonstrate their passion for and experience in this area.
Skills / Experience
The ideal candidate will have 3-5 years PQE gained within a leading corporate practice at a reputable law firm.
Excellent organisational and prioritising skills, to meet the demands of challenging and commercial internal and external clients, as well as dealing with competing priorities.
Excellent written and interpersonal skills.
Ability to communicate effectively with people at all levels, both internally and with clients.
Excellent attention to detail.
Ability to effectively manage own workload.
At all times, to exercise high standards of client care and service in a professional and pleasant manner.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Personable and confident, able to build relationships with colleagues, clients and external organisations.
Resilient and calm under pressure.
Adaptable and flexible approach.

Interest in undertaking business development activities both internally and externally.
