The Role

As a Data Reporting Analyst you will play a pivotal role in the Technology Business Solutions team, focusing on building enterprise-level reports and dashboards using Microsoft Power BI. You will not only develop reports but also drive the adoption of analytics and reporting best practices and standards across the Firm. A key aspect of your role will be collaborating closely with others in the team to integrate advanced analytics into reporting solutions, ensuring a cohesive and comprehensive data analytics strategy.

  • Passionate about reporting in enterprises and experienced in developing reporting standards.
  • Excellent communication skills, adaptable at working collaboratively with data scientists and other stakeholders.
  • Proficient in SQL, Microsoft Power BI, and other relevant data tools.
  • Detail-oriented with a commitment to delivering high-quality work.

Duties And Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, and maintain reports and dashboards using Microsoft Power BI.
  • Establish, lead and champion reporting best practices, standards and initiatives to enhance reporting capabilities and improve data literacy across departments.
  • Design, implement and maintain robust presentation data models in SQL and Power BI.
  • Collaborate closely with data scientists to incorporate advanced analytics into reporting, creating a seamless integration of data insights.
  • Engage with stakeholders to understand reporting needs and deliver tailored, data-driven solutions.
  • Ensure the accuracy, timeliness, and relevance of all reporting outputs.

Skills/Experience

  • 3-5 years of experience in a reporting, business intelligence, or similar analytical role.
  • Demonstrated experience with Microsoft PowerBI and strong SQL skills.
  • Knowledge of data warehousing, ETL processes, and dimensional modelling.
  • Knowledge in manipulation and exploration of data in Python to perform advanced data analytics.
  • Certifications in PowerBI, SQL, or related technologies.
  • Understanding of data governance and privacy standards.
  • Project management skills or experience in leading cross-functional projects.
  • Experience in working with Finance and Business Development data and processes would be desirable.
  • Strong communication skills and ability to communicate effectively with stakeholders at all levels.
  • Experience in presenting technical insights clearly to all levels.
  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Business Analytics, Information Systems, or a related field preferred but not essential.
