Role Overview
Mishcon de Reya LLP is seeking a Managing Associate (6+ PQE) to join their Reputation Protection team in London. This role involves advising high-profile clients, corporations, and families on media and communication law, including defamation, privacy, harassment, and data protection, often within high-pressure crisis scenarios.
Key Eligibility Criteria
- Minimum 6 years of Post-Qualification Experience (PQE).
- Trained and qualified at a leading law firm.
- Proven experience in media litigation, reputation protection, or commercial litigation.
- Strong academic background and excellent technical legal skills.
Responsibilities & Scope of Work
- Managing pre-action engagement, litigation, and emergency injunction applications.
- Media crisis management and responding to urgent media enquiries.
- Preparing and submitting complaints to regulators (IPSO, Ofcom, ASA, ICO).
- Supervising junior fee earners and contributing to business development.
- Providing out-of-hours/weekend support as part of an on-call rota.
