Popular and well-reviewed pub restaurant with rooms offering a fabulous guest experience is now looking for an experienced and proficient Head Chef from a 1/2 rosette background and/or high-end brasserie restaurant environment to join its team. This 35 cover restaurant offers creative menu opportunities and is set in a stunning location with excellent amenities. This is a fantastic opportunity for a talented professional to join a company offering a great working environment and a chance to push the food offering.

There is an existing excellent team in the kitchen with chefs that tend to stay due to a really positive working atmosphere created by the Owner. Due to the minimal covers and high average spend of circa £50 per head, this role allows for a calm kitchen with the focus on delivering exceptional food. For a chef who wants to escape the city for a different quality and pace of life, this role represents a very interesting opportunity.

There are some excellent local suppliers allowing the chef to create the best of modern British Gastronomy with a menu that changes with the seasons. As Head Chef, you will report to the owners and contribute to regular management meetings. You will need to be passionate about using local and home-grown/home-reared produce and cooking with fresh ingredients. This role would suit a head chef from a busy restaurant environment who is used to delivering excellent consistency.

  • Responsible for the supervision and management of a team of 5 chefs
  • Creating all dishes from fresh, locally sourced and seasonal ingredients
  • Full menu creativity working with great local produce
  • Fully responsible for all of the department's financial duties
  • Recruiting, training and mentoring
  • Adhering to health and safety and correct food safety regimes

You must have at least two years’ experience as head chef with a rosette background and/or busy high-end quality brasserie style dining environment.
