Our client is seeking a Head Chef to lead their kitchen team. The role involves:

  1. Menu creation — elevating the current menu, working with seasonal produce, and collaborating with local Devon farms and quality suppliers.
  2. Responsibility for the daily smooth running of the kitchen.
  3. Menu planning — including costing and recipe specification.
  4. Stock control — liaising with suppliers, ordering, managing invoices, stock counting, and wastage control.
  5. Managing kitchen rotas, recruitment, team training and development, maintaining personnel files, and ensuring GP targets are met.
  6. Ensuring due diligence with food hygiene, health & safety records, and cleaning rosters.
  7. Recruitment, training, and mentoring of the team.
  8. Hours: 48 per week, with support for initial accommodation.
  9. Additional requirements include a valid UK work right and a driving license.

  • You are highly organized and up-to-date with current food and cooking trends.
