Opportunity for a chef looking for a supportive and friendly environment in an intimate setting, in an exciting and growing food supper club/concept operation which has attracted excellent press reviews.

Currently at two locations, the operation is open Wednesdays, Thursdays, Fridays, and Saturdays offering a bar/brunch/events and evening menu for up to 30 - 40 covers. The operation is also sometimes closed for private events.

This role represents a great opportunity for a sous chef who is looking for their next step up as a head chef in a smaller quality environment.

Role:
  • Fully responsible for a brigade of 3 chefs
  • Training and motivation of your team
  • Creative input
  • Rota management
  • Implementing health and safety, food hygiene practices
  • Maintaining the smooth running of the kitchen at all times
Candidate Profile:
  • Ability to commit to a role and demonstrate a steady work background
  • At least 2 years experience as a sous chef
  • Ability to remain calm and professional under pressure
  • From the local area or willing to travel
  • Able to multitask with main supper club covers and events
  • Comprehensive cooking skills and technical knowledge
  • Demonstrate a passion for good quality, fresh ingredients
  • Excellent organisational skills
Salary & Benefits:
  • Closed on Sundays, Mondays, Tuesdays
  • Working hours: 45 - 48 hours (candidate will need to attend a weekly meeting on one of these days)
  • Great working hours in an exciting and growing concept
