TRANSPORT PLANNING SUPERVISOR

BASED: POLAR SPEED UPS – 648 River Gardens, Feltham, TW14 0RB

HOURS: 06:00 – 15:00, SUNDAY – THURSDAY, 40 HOURS PER WEEK

SALARY: £35,000.00 PER ANNUM

The company specializes in active temperature-controlled deliveries to hospitals, pharmacies, wholesalers, medical care surgeries, and end patients through its homecare business. We are seeking a Transport Planning Supervisor to join our busy team at the Feltham depot.

Ideally, you will have experience working within a transport planning operation. We are looking for a proactive candidate who can work collaboratively across all departments in our network.

Key responsibilities include:

• Daily scheduling of dynamic delivery routes using computerized routing systems.
• Preparing resourcing plans for personnel and vehicles.
• Responding promptly to email, telephone, and postal queries.
• Accessing optimal solutions for network, third-party deliveries/collections, and hybrid solutions.
• Producing and distributing scheduled and ad-hoc reports and updates.
• Supervising planning operations, fleet operations, and outsourced service providers.
• Adhering to all SOPs, work instructions, and guides.
• Recruiting, maintaining, and training resource targets.
• Organizing sickness and holiday cover for planning staff.
• Performing other relevant tasks as outlined in daily check sheets.

Key Skills/Experience/Requirements:

• Good IT skills, including MS Office; routing systems such as Paragon are advantageous.
• Excellent administrative skills.
• Good geographical knowledge.
