We are working with a growing consultancy practice seeking an experienced Consultant or Senior Consultant to support a portfolio of ICARA and broader risk & regulatory projects within the financial services sector. This is a client-facing role, offering exposure to a diverse range of firms and regulatory challenges, with a strong focus on delivering high-quality, practical solutions.
The Role
- ICARA projects (50%) – leading and supporting end-to-end ICARA processes, including wind-down planning, harm analysis, financial resource adequacy, and governance frameworks
- Risk & regulatory projects (50%) – covering areas such as risk frameworks, regulatory change, compliance reviews, and remediation programmes
You will work closely with senior stakeholders, providing expert guidance and delivering clear, actionable insights.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and deliver ICARA assessments in line with FCA requirements
- Support firms in developing and enhancing risk management frameworks
- Conduct regulatory gap analyses and implement remediation plans
- Prepare high-quality documentation and reports for internal and regulatory use
- Engage directly with clients, building strong working relationships
- Contribute to multiple projects simultaneously in a fast-paced environment
Requirements
- Strong, hands-on ICARA experience (essential)
- Background in risk, compliance, or regulatory consulting within financial services
- Solid understanding of FCA regulations and UK regulatory landscape
- Proven ability to manage stakeholders and deliver projects end-to-end
- Excellent analytical, communication, and documentation skills
- Ability to work independently in a consultancy-style environment
