Miryco Consultants is working with a high-growth InsurTech to hire an Analyst to support the Pricing function in the development, maintenance and improvement of statistical models. Remote working available with occasional travel to Manchester or Sussex offices.

This role will suit ambitious data analytics/modelling professionals with an interest in joining a modern pricing function with one of the market’s top performing insurers. The incoming Analyst will find a great platform for development, ideally building on an existing tech skillset of python, SQL & Databricks.

Responsibilities:

  • Support and develop pricing changes and predictive models using statistical techniques (linear and non-linear).
  • Validate data quality and build confidence in pricing algorithms and surrounding systems.
  • Deliver clear, actionable analysis and reporting to inform business decisions and improve profitability.
  • Maintain and update existing models using tools such as SAS, Python, and SQL.
  • Collaborate across teams to resolve data issues and drive operational improvements.
  • Mentor and support graduate analysts.
  • Proactively identify opportunities to improve processes and analytical approaches.

Requirements:

  • Minimum 2:1 degree in a numerical discipline (e.g., Mathematics, Statistics, Data Science).
  • Proficiency in SQL, Python & Databricks preferred.
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills, with a good understanding of statistical modelling.
  • Excellent communication and reporting skills.
  • Experience with insurance data, SAS, Radar, or Emblem is a plus but not essential.
  • Self-motivated, detail-oriented, and able to work both independently and in a team.
