Miryco Consultants are working with an international asset manager to hire an Operations Manager to their ambitious team. This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced manager to take on a role at a firm with over $50 billion AUM.
Key Responsibilities, amongst others:
- Manage day to day operations within the Investment Operations team ensuring that culture, mental wellbeing and attitude to operational risk are healthy across the team.
- Ensure the team are cross trained across roles and asset classes and help the team head with future plans.
- Act as line management for members of the team, organising necessary actions such as catch ups, development meetings and appraisals.
- Oversee investment operations, including trade support and asset servicing.
- Liaise with trading desk and implementation team to monitor the trade lifecycle and ensure it is running smoothly.
- Oversee other processes and services such as the daily reconciliation service, the management of the Corporate Action process, cash management, ensuring the Investment Operations controls are robust and leading the Investment Operations client change management process.
- Assist other teams with various tasks, including the Listed Equity Valuation Committee, the Business Management team and Portfolio Managers.
- Liaise with third party administrators and vendors and help with the oversight of key operational vendors.
- Present trading management information monthly to the Portfolio Services group and Middle Office and Front Office working groups.
Requirements:
- 7-10 years within an Investment Operations Team.
- Experience with both fixed income and equities preferred.
- Line Management experience preferred.
- Automation experience and key understanding of operational risk preferred.
- IOC qualifications an advantage.
- Self management abilities as well as clear respect for others and company culture.
- Clear communicator both verbally and written and able to work collaboratively to make meaningful contributions.
- Knowledgeable and aware of risks. Determined to improve their own and team performance.
Location: City of London
Hybrid working: Tues-Thurs in office, Mon & Fri WFH
Salary Range: £90,000 - £110,000 (dependent on experience)
Bonus: 40% (Discretionary)
