Miryco are currently partnering with a leading UK insurance/Asset Manager that's investing heavily in the growth of its Individual Annuities proposition. This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced Distribution Manager to play a pivotal role in shaping and expanding the firm's presence within the retail retirement income market.

The Opportunity

As Distribution Manager, you'll be responsible for developing and executing the distribution strategy for the Individual Annuities business, establishing key partnerships and driving sustainable growth across adviser networks, specialist brokers and annuity comparison platforms. Working closely with proposition, pricing and operational teams, you'll ensure the business delivers a market-leading experience for distribution partners and their clients.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and execute the distribution strategy for the Individual Annuities proposition.
  • Build and strengthen relationships with national IFA firms, retirement income specialists and key distribution partners.
  • Manage commercial negotiations with annuity comparison panels and quotation platforms.
  • Lead the onboarding of new distribution partners while nurturing existing relationships through regular reviews and performance discussions.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to ensure products and services continue to meet adviser and customer needs.
  • Monitor market activity, competitor positioning and emerging distribution trends.
  • Use MI and performance data to optimise distribution outcomes and improve conversion.
  • Support Consumer Duty requirements by reviewing customer outcomes across distribution channels.
  • Create broker-facing communications, product materials and training content.
  • Track key performance metrics including quote volumes, conversion rates, premium income and pipeline.
About You

We're keen to speak with professionals who have:

  • Significant experience in business development, distribution or sales within the UK life insurance or retirement income market.
  • Strong knowledge of the Individual Annuities sector.
  • An established network across IFAs, retirement specialists, adviser networks and annuity distribution platforms.
  • Excellent understanding of FCA regulation, Consumer Duty and the Open Market Option.
  • Experience negotiating commercial distribution agreements.
  • A strong appreciation of the end-to-end annuity customer journey from quotation through to policy inception.
  • Excellent relationship management and stakeholder engagement skills.
  • A commercial, data-driven approach with experience using MI to improve performance.
  • The ability to work collaboratively across multiple internal teams.
