We are looking for a Pre-Sales Solutions Engineer to join our team in Milton Keynes. In this role, you will support the Sales team by crafting tailored technical solutions and scoping complex projects. Your role will involve delivering IT audits, creating proposals, and engaging with clients in meetings to address their technical queries, all while showcasing your expertise in MS Windows Server Technologies and cloud services.

Salary & Benefits

The budgeted salary for this role is between £40,000 - £50,000 a year, depending on experience. In addition, there is also an annual car allowance of £4,500 annually, plus a 5% commission rate.

Hybrid working

We recognise the benefits that remote and flexible working brings. We operate a hybrid working policy that allows our employees to balance time in the office and time from home. Each team within our organisation can decide how to implement this policy. This role will require travel to client sites alongside in-office attendance in Milton Keynes, in line with the above policy.

Responsibilities

  • Understand and define complex project scopes, goals, and deliverables.
  • Understand and define the required implementation tasks and resource requirements.
  • Create proposals and sales documentation in partnership with other members of the sales team.
  • Ensure that all projects are correctly scoped, and professional services are quoted accordingly.
  • Assist the Business Development Manager/Client Manager as required in prospective client and existing client meetings, primarily to help with any technical queries raised by meeting members.
  • Support colleague development to enable them to resolve issues confidently and effectively.
  • Take responsibility for continual professional development, ensuring up-to-date industry and technical knowledge.
  • Undertake all other reasonable requests.

Qualifications & Experience

  • Professional experience as an IT professional in a customer-facing role. The role would be particularly suited to those who have worked in field engineering, but other applications will also be welcomed.
  • Strong communication skills for technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and changing priorities.
  • Knowledge of MS Windows Server Technologies, Active Directory, and cloud services.
  • Problem-solving skills with a creative and analytical approach.
  • Familiarity with SLA compliance and supporting multi-site clients.
