We are looking for a Senior Project Solutions Engineer to join our team in Milton Keynes. In this role, you will lead and manage technology projects from planning through execution, set project goals and timelines, coordinate with team members and clients, and creatively solve any challenges that arise. You will also mentor colleagues, ensuring they develop their skills while maintaining a strong understanding of technology systems to guide implementation.
Salary & Benefits
The budgeted base salary for this role is between £45,000 and £60,000 (depending on experience), with a £4,500 annual car allowance in addition. There is a requirement to be able to travel to client sites for this role (approximately 50% with clients, 50% in our Milton Keynes office).
Responsibilities
- Understanding and providing the definition of project scope, goals and deliverables.
- Understanding the definition of the required implementation tasks and resource requirements.
- Understanding and assisting in the development of all project plans.
- Understanding and assisting in the planning of project timelines.
- Carrying out project implementation work, ensuring all activities are actioned in line with project plans and timelines.
- Tracking and updating project activities and deliverables using appropriate tools.
- Monitoring and reporting on progress of the project to all stakeholders.
- Escalating any project risks.
- Managing client expectations through clear communications.
- Mentoring team members to ensure processes and levels of service are adhered to.
- Creating and maintaining customer specific infrastructure documentation.
Qualifications & Experience
- Experience of working with clients in a face‑to‑face technical support capacity (IT Support, Field Engineering – or equivalent) at a senior level.
- Experience supporting SME‑sized organisations.
- A good level of knowledge and application in: MS Windows Server Technologies, Exchange Technologies, Active Directory, Firewalls, Router & VPN Technologies, Office 365, VMWare, Microsoft Azure.
- Experience of managing or supporting technical projects.
