LOCATION: Hingham, Norfolk (NR9) - Office based role DEPARTMENT: Logistics / Warehouse SALARY: Competitive HOURS: Full time/permanent - 37 hours per week (Mon – Thurs: 8hrs/ Fri: 5 hrs – finish early)

About the role

This is a new role supporting the Logistics Manager and will play an important part in coordinating both inbound and outbound logistics, ensuring components and materials arrive at Mirus safely and on time, while finished goods and customer shipments are dispatched efficiently and in line with requirements.

Mirus works with suppliers and customers around the world, using a combination of sea and air freight to support our production requirements and global customer base. You will work closely with suppliers, freight partners and internal teams to coordinate shipments, maintain accurate logistics information and resolve issues that could impact production or customer deliveries.

This is a hands‑on operational role which requires strong logistics expertise and the ability to work collaborative across internal departments, suppliers, external logistics providers and transport companies.

In your role as our Logistics Coordinator, you will:

  • Coordinate inbound and outbound shipments, including air, sea and road freight.
  • Liaise with suppliers, customers and logistics partners to arrange, track and resolve delivery issues.
  • Support international shipments, including import/export requirements, documentation and Incoterms.
  • Coordinate finished goods and customer deliveries, providing clear updates on shipment status.

Supply Chain & Material Coordination

  • Work closely with Buyers, Material Planners and Production to ensure materials are available when required.
  • Coordinate material flow from suppliers through to production and support After‑Sales and customer requirements.
  • Respond proactively to changing priorities and potential supply or delivery issues.

ERP & Stakeholder Management

  • Maintain accurate logistics, shipment and delivery information within the ERP system.
  • Support logistics reporting, KPI tracking and accurate record keeping.
  • Build effective relationships across Procurement, Production, Sales, Quality, suppliers and freight partners.

Continuous Improvement, Quality & Compliance

  • Support the Logistics Manager in improving logistics processes, efficiency and delivery performance.
  • Identify opportunities to reduce cost, improve service and strengthen ways of working.
  • Ensure logistics activities comply with Mirus procedures, health & safety, quality and AS9100 requirements.
  • Maintain appropriate traceability and **escalate** quality, safety, stock or delivery concerns.

About you

To help Mirus continue our journey of growth, you will be highly organised, proactive and comfortable working in a fast‑paced environment, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and communicate effectively with both internal teams and external partners along with the following skills, experience, qualifications and attributes:

  • Experience within Supply Chain, Logistics, Procurement or a similar coordination role.
  • Strong administrative and organisational skills with excellent attention to detail.
  • The ability to process and maintain data accurately and efficiently.
  • An understanding of supply chain, logistics or stock control processes.
  • Good communication and relationship‑building skills.
  • The ability to prioritise workload and remain calm when dealing with time‑critical situations.
  • Good IT skills, particularly Microsoft Excel.
  • Experience with an ERP system would be advantageous, with Microsoft Business Central desirable.
  • An interest in developing your knowledge of global logistics, freight and supply chain operations.
  • Experience of working with international suppliers, customers or freight providers.
  • Understanding of import/export processes and documentation.
  • Knowledge of Incoterms.
  • Experience within a manufacturing or aerospace environment.
  • Previous experience coordinating air, sea or road freight.
