As Warehouse Inventory Manager you will take accountability for daily operations and performance of Mirus' warehouse function. You will manage inventory throughout its lifecycle, lead and develop the warehouse team, and ensure the highest standards of inventory management in terms of service, accuracy, and quality within a safe environment. You will increase productivity and efficiency through continuous improvement and problem-solving efforts, ensuring robust processes are followed to support broader business goals.
Scope:
- Manage transactions and data accuracy for material movement.
- Develop and implement transformation plans.
- Ensure inventory accuracy and preservation of goods.
- Provide material picking to the required accuracy and rate, to support business needs.
- Provide leadership to ensure operation within a process disciplined environment.
YOUR MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES:
In your role as our Warehouse Inventory Manager, you will:
- Manage all elements with the warehouse/stores function through receiving goods inspection, inventory management, picking and dispatch ensuring deliveries and receipts of goods and/or services are achieved on time and within the allocated budget.
- Develop, lead and implement transformation plans that improve processes, procedures and service levels.
- Control annual department budgets with agreed limits and business objectives.
- Create and implement robust inventory management processes, with the aim of reducing stock variances.
- Create and update SOPs/WI’s in line with changing operational demands.
- Ensure material preservation by the implementation or maintenance of material storage best practice.
- Ensure stock accuracies are maintained using Perpetual inventory and/or cycle counting.
- Ensure traceability is maintained throughout the entire material process.
- Investigate and correct any issues/anomalies pertaining to inventory management.
- Produce regular monthly reports and performance metrics.
- Control the movement, storage and reconciliation of inventory, maintaining compliance with Company Operating Procedures and External Regulatory requirements and transactional accuracy on ERP system.
- Plan, co-ordinate and direct the daily work activities of the department, setting priorities and scheduling work to meet production plans and customer expectations.
- Ensure that all Non-Conforming parts are controlled and quarantined.
- Ensure high standards of health, safety, hygiene and security are maintained at all times.
- Manage and co-ordinate training and development requirements, promoting a culture of continuous improvement.
- Keep up to date with changes to relevant laws, standards and contractual requirements.
About you
To help Mirus continue our journey of growth, you will bring your expertise within a Warehouse Operative capacity, a passion for problem solving, a drive for excellence and the highest of standards along with the following skills, experience, qualifications and attributes:
- Experience working within and leading a Warehousing department/stock control function.
- Experience of working within a multidisciplinary team with conflicting priorities.
- Must have IOSH or above and experience within a warehouse environment.
- Experience developing, improving and documenting procedures.
- Experience of working with ERP and MRP ordering systems.
Desirable:
- Awareness of Health and Safety and COSHH guidelines.
- Experience and knowledge of document requirements and quality accreditation within the aerospace/automotive industry.
- Experience of managing a new start up including implementing picking/stock control software on scanners in line with SOPs.
- Experience creating a flow of inventory throughout a business through correct location and picking planning.
- Forklift license and experience using and managing those who operate a variety of warehouse equipment.
Personal skills/attributes:
- Excellent teamwork and interpersonal skills.
- IT literate.
- Initiative to work independently with a proactive & supportive approach to Continuous Improvement.
- Microsoft Office 365 proficiency.
- Must be a reliable and conscientious, demonstrating excellent organisational skills.
- Ability to effectively prioritize and execute tasks in a high-pressure environment.
- High level of personal accountability and desire to succeed.
