We’re looking for exceptional individuals to help us shape the future of aircraft seating as an entry level Test Technician, joining our team within our MTEST testing facility.
State-of-the-art facilities: Be part of a one-of-a-kind state of the art facility in the UK. It is a UKAS ISO 17025 accredited laboratory featuring the latest in aircraft testing technology and is the largest commercially available dynamic testing facility in the UK giving us greater opportunities for product advancement. Our Test Technicians help us in certifying products for airworthiness and play a key role here at Mirus.

As an MTEST Technician, your primary responsibility will be to support our engineers and senior technicians to conduct dynamic, static & life cycle test setups for both Mirus Aircraft Seating and external customers according to test procedures.
- Supporting with dynamic development & certification testing in accordance with customer test procedures and international regulations.
- Setting up high speed cameras for test filming to customer requirements.
- Setting up computer-controlled data acquisition systems.
- Reviewing existing risk assessments of the dynamic test facility and highlighting any changes.
Requirements:
- Mechanical or Electrical Engineering apprenticeship.
- Strong mechanical fitting skills.
- Electrical/electronic skills.
- Welding experience.
- Previous mechanical or electrical technician/engineering experience.
- Experienced in a testing environment.
- Photographic experience - Knowledge of photography, high speed data and video capture.
- Data collection experience.
Be eligible to work in the UK, comfortable commuting or being based in Hingham, Norfolk and work flexible hours.
