Location: Hingham, Norfolk (NR9) – Office based role

Hours: Full time/permanent - 37 hours per week (Mon – Thurs: 8hrs/ Fri: 5hrs – finish early)

About the role

In your role as Engineering Project Manager, you will be responsible for the coordination of all activities related to the fulfilment of assigned customer orders for our aircraft passenger seats, from when a programme is assigned until the execution of the programme and with your contributions, will help us achieve on time performance, maintain quality, cost and weight to achieve our targets. Taking ownership of the process, you will support other lines of business in ensuring completion of our programmes/products.

In your role as our Engineering Project Manager, you will:

  • Coordinate and establish the framework and conditions for all activities related to the fulfilment of assigned customer orders for our aircraft passenger seats
  • Manage all aspects of the programme(s), including performance, cost, quality and lead-time aspects
  • Collaborate cross-functionally to ensure timelines and activities are met efficiently
  • Present regular updates to the executive team via presentations and effective communication channels
  • Ensure the smooth execution of all programs start to finish
  • Track and control programme cost drivers

About you

To help Mirus continue our journey of growth, you will bring your expertise within a similar role, have a passion for innovation, problem solving abilities and drive for optimal excellence along with the following skills, experience, qualifications and attributes:

  • Experience of project or programme management within either a manufacturing or engineering environment (a minimum of 3 years’ required)
  • Hands‑on experience in managing quality processes within an NPI environment
  • A good understanding of and experience with project planning software (e.g. MS Project)
  • A solid understanding of how engineered products move from design through to certified, manufactured and delivered hardware
  • A strong understanding of technical drivers behind weight growth and design changes
  • A strong understanding of supporting compliance to customer and regulatory requirements
  • Programme planning and scheduling tools
  • Support technical discussions with customer engineering and programme teams
  • Ideally from an Aerospace cabin/seating or highly regulated industry background
  • Technical understanding of aircraft seating systems (or similar engineered products)
  • 3rd level qualification in an Engineering based subject

  • The ability to communicate and present effectively at all levels
  • Excellent attention to detail
  • A high level of organisational and prioritisation skills
  • Be eligible to work in the UK, comfortable commuting or being based in Hingham, Norfolk and work flexible hours required
