The predicted salary is between 24000 - 30000 £ per year.

As a Material Handler this role will focus on:

  • Picking materials from the Warehouse against Work Orders for Line-side supply to Production.
  • Receiving goods in, material storage, stock checking, counting and kit picking to ensure accurate, standardised and timely supply of material components to Production.
  • Recording and reporting inventory statuses and making sure deliveries properly match purchase orders.

YOUR MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • To receive in goods, booking items in accurately and locating them in the designated locations within the Warehouse.
  • Pick material components against Work Orders and issue to Bills of Material (BoM).
  • Manage and maintain stocks of consumable items, purchase stores consumables in line with budget and minimum stock requirements.
  • Carry out Perpetual Stock Takes, reporting shortages to Warehouse Supervisor or, in their absence, to Production/Supply Chain.
  • Ensure that all items within the Warehouse are booked out accurately to receiving departments, at no time allowing free access to unauthorised personnel.

  • Experience working within a busy Warehousing or stock control function within either engineering and/or manufacturing/production.
  • In-depth understanding of health, safety and environmental requirements.
  • A basic understanding of English - both written and verbally.
  • Good verbal and written communication skills.
  • Working knowledge of Office 365.
  • Knowledge of the operation of ERP and MRP systems.
  • Able to work within a team, take direction from others and collaborate effectively.

Desirable:

  • Forklift licence would be advantageous.
  • Willingness to learn and highly self-motivated.
  • Strong attention to detail, excellent organisational skills.

Eligible to work in the UK and ability to work flexible hours, as required.
