About the role
Reporting to the Certification Manager, the Graduate Certification Engineer will support all aspects of the certification of Mirus seating products, ensuring that our products are certified to UKCAA, EASA, FAA or National Authority regulations, as well as satisfying customer specifications. In this role, you will take ownership of seat certification programmes, and as a key stakeholder in ensuring the successful completion of projects, you’ll work collaboratively with internal teams and liaise with external parties such as regulators, test houses, airline customers and aircraft OEMs. These projects can vary from a revised installation layout, introduction of new seat features, to supporting an all-new seat design through initial certification from concept to production. YOUR MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Maintain certification project milestones and schedules required to complete projects.
- Manage, track and report adherence to programme deliverables on time.
- Generate and check test plans and reports to a consistent high quality standard.
- Coordinate with design and test staff to support development and certification test campaigns, to officially witness testing and to interpret and present test results.
- Liaise with the New Product Development Engineering team during the design and development stages of a project, and with the Applications Engineering team during the customer configuration stage of a project to provide guidance and to ensure alignment with regulatory requirements.
- Liaise with regulators to ensure quick and seamless issuance of (UK/E)TSO, as well as supporting customer and aircraft OEM meetings and deliverables.
