Role Description
This is a full-time, on-site Carpenter role located in Waltham Abbey. The Carpenter will carry out a variety of carpentry tasks and perform high-end joinery and bespoke items on hospitality and hotel commercial projects. Daily responsibilities include reading and interpreting construction drawings, measuring and cutting materials with the use of a CNC machine, safely operating hand tools and power tools, and ensuring all work meets quality and safety standards. The role also involves collaboration with project managers and other trades, maintaining a clean and organized work area, and following company health and safety procedures.
Qualifications
- Strong carpentry skills, including experience with structural and non-structural works.
- Proficient in constructing high end bespoke joinery.
- Confident use of hand tools (e.g., saws, chisels, measuring tools) with attention to accuracy and safety.
- Skilled in operating power tools (e.g., drills, circular saws, nail guns) in line with safety regulations.
- Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and follow site instructions.
- Good communication skills and ability to work effectively within a site team.
- Demonstrated commitment to workplace safety and adherence to health and safety guidelines.
- Previous experience as a Carpenter in construction or fit out environments; relevant trade qualification or apprenticeship is an advantage.
- Right to work in the UK and ability to commute daily to Waltham Abbey.
- Knowledge of working a CNC machine and running material (Beneficial)
