Who Are We?

Mirrorworks is the digital backlot infrastructure for virtual production. Instead of building bespoke digital sets for every project, we design and license modular, rights-cleared virtual environments that can be reused across film, television, advertising and gaming. By standardising production-safe assets and making them discoverable and licensable, we remove friction from creative workflows and sell production certainty through subscription-based reuse rather than one-off services.

The Role

We’re looking for an entrepreneurial business development manager to expand Mirrorworks’ footprint in the UK and Europe. You will be responsible for driving licensing and subscription deals for our reusable Unreal Engine environments, building partnerships with studios, agencies and virtual production vendors, and ensuring our platform becomes the go-to infrastructure for digital backlots.

Key Responsibilities

  • Map and prioritise demand clusters in film, TV, advertising and gaming; focus on recurring production problems where reusable environments add value.
  • Identify, develop and manage partnerships with brands, agencies, studios and production partners.
  • Build deep relationships with agency planners and production decision-makers, driving revenue growth across digital, video and immersive media.
  • Refine and execute sales strategies for virtual production and XR, including recruiting and managing resellers and industry thought-leaders.
  • Negotiate licensing and subscription agreements, ensuring repeat usage rather than bespoke one-offs.
  • Represent Mirrorworks at industry events and demos, acting as a visible champion for our category.
  • Collaborate with product and engineering teams to ensure environments remain modular, rights-cleared and production-safe.

Requirements

  • 5–10 years’ experience in sales or business development within virtual production, VFX, Unreal Engine services or media tech; hands-on experience with Pro A/V or virtual-production/XR sales is advantageous.
  • Established network in UK production companies, agencies and virtual-production vendors; ability to open doors and create partnerships.
  • Solid understanding of virtual-production workflows, LED volumes and Unreal Engine.
  • Proven track record of closing deals and building long-term customer relationships.
  • Entrepreneurial mindset and comfort with a low base salary and high performance-linked upside.

What We Offer

  • Lean base pay with generous, uncapped commission tied to licensing and subscription revenue.
  • Equity participation to align incentives with long-term platform growth.
  • Flexible hybrid working with significant travel to client sites and industry events and some internationally.
  • Opportunity to help build the category-defining infrastructure for virtual production.

If you feel you think “this is exactly what I can do” then let’s hear from you. We are a groundbreaking company with a unique vision and an amazing proposition – what’s not to love?
