Mirror Labs is a US-based operation specialising in data-driven market making within the global live events industry. The firm leverages high-frequency trading infrastructure to enhance real-time pricing, liquidity, and accessibility for event tickets, ultimately aiming to transform live experiences into intelligent, efficient marketplaces. At its core, Mirror Labs focuses on creating a more accessible and efficient ticket market by integrating directly with major exchanges and bridging liquidity gaps, with over 2.5 million tickets sold and generating nine-figure transaction volume.

We are a small, London-based startup experiencing exceptional growth. We are looking for our next team member to help capture more value, bring wild ideas, and build a high-performance, low-latency trading product. We trade tickets like equities, commodities, or derivatives β€” analysing trends, battling manipulated markets, and constantly testing strategies to outthink the competition. Whether you are right out of university or have 10+ years in the industry, we want curious, hyper-focused problem-solvers who thrive on seeing the direct results of their work.

Responsibilities
  • Build and evolve the core trading engine that powers real-time market making for live event tickets.
  • Work directly on production systems that handle massive data flows, execute strategies, and drive profitability in a highly dynamic, manipulated secondary ticket market.
  • Design, implement, and optimize features like backtesting frameworks, strategy simulation engines, real-time pricing models, and execution logic.
  • Develop and refine automated trading strategies to outperform inefficient/manipulated markets β€” from idea to live deployment.
  • Work on low-latency, high-throughput Python-based systems integrated with AWS, Postgres, and Redis.
  • Analyse market data, identify edges (trends, anomalies, liquidity gaps), and iterate rapidly on new ideas.
  • Collaborate closely in a flat, fast-moving team β€” prototype quickly, test aggressively, deploy, measure, and repeat.
  • Own end-to-end impact: your code directly affects trading P&L and market efficiency.
Who We Are Looking For
  • Strong computer science and mathematics foundation (degree in Comp Sci, Math, Physics, Engineering, or equivalent self-taught depth).
  • Familiarity with our stack: Python, AWS, PostgreSQL, Redis β€” or eagerness to ramp up fast.
  • A quantitative mindset: comfort with data analysis, statistics, probability, time-series, optimization, or modelling inefficiencies.
  • Entrepreneurial spirit: thrives in ambiguous, high-autonomy startup environments with aggressive pace and rapid iteration.
  • Curiosity + bias to action: love generating and testing "crazy" ideas, unafraid to fail fast, learn from mistakes, and pivot.
  • Hyper-focus on outcomes: excited to see your work directly influence live trading results and company growth.
  • No specific years of experience required β€” we hire for potential. Recent grads with strong projects, self-taught coders with personal trading bots, or seasoned engineers looking for high-impact startup life are all welcome.
Benefits
  • Competitive salary + profit sharing tied to your portfolio's performance - your wins are our wins.
  • In-person role at our Battersea office.
  • Comprehensive Health Insurance with Full Benefits.
  • Office Lunches.
